But the marathon team has now issued a golden ticket. a guaranteed spot, for these loyal runners, as long as they act fast. Eligible participants will receive a unique URL at 12 noon on Friday, November 1st, and they’ll have just 72 hours to lock in their place. After that, the door slams shut.

So, if you’ve sweated through Dublin in the last three editions, don’t sleep on this one, check your inbox and secure your bib!

As for the controversial lottery? Organisers say it’s not just about crowd control. it’s a strategic move to gauge the full scale of demand for the race, which has exploded in popularity in recent years. The insights will help shape a long-term development plan in collaboration with stakeholders, aiming to ensure the Dublin Marathon remains a premier international event.

Meanwhile, Athletics Ireland members haven’t been forgotten. A dedicated batch of entries has been reserved for members competing in the National Marathon Championships. These spots will be up for grabs starting April 1st, 2020, but only to those who meet the ‘Good for Age’ standards and hold a valid Athletics Ireland membership.

The bottom line? Whether you're chasing PBs, medals, or marathon glory, get ready, get registered, and get running. The race is on.
