The 2025 National Schools Track and Field Championships took place in Tullamore over two action-packed days, and Finisk Valley AC athletes did their club and schools proud—bringing home two national titles, a string of medals, and several personal bests.

🥇 National Champions

Two athletes reached the top of the podium with gold medal-winning performances:

  • Eddie Raicevic (St. Augustine’s College, Abbeyside) was in sensational form, winning the Intermediate Boys 100m Hurdles with a personal best in a flawless display of speed and precision.
  • Kate Cullinane (BCS Lismore) delivered under pressure in the Junior Girls Shot Putt, throwing a dramatic personal best on her final attempt to seal the gold.

🥈🥉 Medals & Podium Finishes

  • Lucy Raicevic (St. Augustine’s) took home a National Silver Medal in the Junior Pole Vault and placed 7th in the Junior Javelin—a strong all-round performance.
  • Kate Longan (BCS Lismore) secured Silver in the Junior Javelin and finished 4th in the Minor Shot Putt, just outside the medals.
  • Corey Scanlon (St. Augustine’s) made a big impact with a Silver in the Senior Discus and a Bronze in the Senior Hammer, an outstanding double podium finish.
  • The Ard Scoil na nDéise Junior Girls Relay TeamAva Flavin, Catherine O'Donnell, Laoise Cummins, and Ailbhe Morley—powered their way to a Bronze medal, the only Waterford relay team to medal at the championships.
